Where do I park when I first attend?
There are three parking areas located at our church. You may use any one of the three. There are dedicated guest parking spots near the front of the building.
Where do I go when I first attend?
Come in through the front doors, and we have some wonderful volunteers will help you find the right places to go.
How should I dress?
There is no dress code for attendance. Some wear traditional church clothing on Sundays and many wear casual clothing.
What ages of people come to Bloom Baptist?
There are individuals of all age groups who attend Bloom. We have a robust and growing youth group, young families, or senior couples. We are happy that persons of many diverse ages call Bloom home.
What takes place in the Worship service?
On Sunday mornings we have one worship service at 10:45am. We also have small groups for all ages at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. Our greeters will be happy to help guide you to the LifeQuest Group of your choice (you can find more information on those here). A normal Sunday morning worship services consist of worship through song, and an expository message from the Word of God.
Will I be asked to give money?
The majority of our giving is done online (see our Giving page for details). Giving is encouraged for members of Bloom Baptist, but visitors are under no obligation to give. We do not pass an offering plate during our service, though if you wish to give via physical money or check, there is a drop box located at the exit of the worship center by the door.
Every Sunday that we observe the Lord's Supper, we take up an offering for our benevolence fund to assist church members with financial struggles.
Will I be asked to say anything publicly?
No public declarations are required by any member or guest to Bloom Baptist Church.
I have young children, will there be a place for them?
We have a wonderful nursery for children. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this. Our greeters and people at the welcome center will help you find it. All of those who work with children have been trained to do so, as well as having undergone background checks. We also have a check-in system to ensure that all children are accounted for and are picked up by the appropriate parent/guardian. Bloom Baptist is deeply committed to provide safeguards for your child's protection.
What kind of music do you use?
Our worship services feature blended music. We worship with contemporary worship music, as well as contemporary arrangements of classic hymns. We feel it important to provide a balanced service that ministers to believers of all ages. The most important element of music for us is that our worship glorifies and praises God, proclaiming the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
How long does the service last?
Most public worship services at Bloom Baptist last around an hour to one hour and fifteen minutes. Services usually conclude around 11:45am-12:00pm.
What Bible is used? Are certain translations restricted?
Bloom does not use a standardized translation for its services. Our Senior Pastor normally uses the New Living Translation for it's readability during his sermons, while studying and referencing other translations during his sermon preparation. Most of the Pastor's readings are featured on the media screens in the auditorium so that the text of the translation he is reading from is visible for all.
Our Associate Pastor Bobby prefers the use of the Christian Standard Bible, and our Worship Pastor Jules usually reads from the English Standard Version or New American Standard Bible 95.
Members and guests are encouraged to use whatever faithful Bible translation best assists them in their study of God's Word and helps them grow in their knowledge of Him.
